    Founded by Karen Butti and Paul Sharrock, del:ALT:print showcases not only their work as historic buildings architects but also their creativity in media including drawing, textiles, and printmaking.

    Through del:ALT:print they offer a range of learning opportunities and supported studio access in Diss, Norfolk.

    Much of Karen and Paul’s work is inspired by the stories encapsulated in our historic built environment.

    Using drawings and impressions recorded in their sketchbooks, they seek to draw out a unique sense of place.

    Although Karen and Paul share a passion for historic buildings- their stories, textures, materials, and construction- the alternative ways in which they have responded from Karen’s textiles to Paul’s printmaking, are wide and varied.

    Although printmaking is Paul’s preferred method of expression, the use of layers, changes in transparency, mark-making, and surface treatment are common themes that run through both their works.

    Throughout their careers, Karen and Paul have remained committed to sharing ideas, teaching, and education.

    Working with people from different backgrounds and experiences, they have taught subjects ranging from building conservation to stone lithography.

    Conscious of the generosity of those that taught them, Karen and Paul wish to share their expertise and experience with others.

    They offer a range of courses from their studios in Diss, Norfolk.
